Grenade blast at Lal Chowk in Srinagar leaves four policemen, three CRPF soldiers and three civilians wounded

Suspected militants lobbed a hand grenade at a police party outside Palladium Cinema at Lal Chowk in capital Srinagar this evening.

At least 10 people were reportedly injured in the blast. They included four cops, three CRPF men and three civilians.

The grenade attack too place at 7.10 pm.

Police said that militants were responsible for the attack. However, no militant group has claimed responsibility so far.

The injured policemen were identified as Ashiq Ahmed, Abid Ahmed , Muhammad Shafi, and Nasir Ahmed while as CRPF men were identified as ASI R Munaswami, constable Vishal and Constable Davinder of 132 battalaion.

The injured civilians were identified as Humaira wife of Sajad Ahmed Baba of Harwan, Abdul Qayoom of Mandibal Nowshera and Taliba Gulsan wife of Iftkhiar Ahmed of Dalgate,Srinagar.

The condition of all the injured was stated to be stable.
